Program Description:
Most students complete the MFA degree in 3 years (a few in 2 years), taking both workshop and seminar courses and completing a creative thesis in one of four genres: fiction, poetry, scriptwriting, or creative nonfiction. Students also gain editing, teaching, and arts programming experience working with the program's national journals; teaching classes in composition, literature, and creative writing; and assisting with the program's visiting writers series.
