Program Description:

The Department of Physiology and Biophysics offers research training experiences and courses of study leading to the degrees of Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy, and participates in the M.D./Ph.D. and multidisciplinary programs within the Medical Center. Active research programs in basic and applied biomedical sciences emphasize the cellular and molecular basis of function, in the context of understanding the integrative mechanisms of physiological processes, and are conducted by a vigorous and productive faculty in well-equipped, state-of-the-art facilities.
