Program Description:

The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences offers academic preparation for the master's and doctorate in Classical Languages and Literatures. The department offers a broad range of courses in the languages, literatures, and history of Greece and Rome. The department is a member of the Graduate Classics Consortium with the City University of New York and New York University, in which each institution offers three graduate courses each semester, accessible to Fordham's graduate students. Doctoral specializations exist in classical philology and in medieval Latin. The direct PhD in Classics is also available and is linked to the New York Doctoral Consortium, which includes New York University, Columbia University, and the City University of New York.
