Program Description:
The College of Criminology and Criminal Justice focuses both on theory and on practice in the belief that neither stands alone. The program is interdisciplinary and integrative in nature, drawing upon many different disciplines and paradigms for theoretical and methodological approaches used in Criminology.
Eligibility Requirements:
Students must submit a personal statement of 300-500 words and 3 reference letters. Students applying for the doctoral degree must also submit an area paper or thesis.
Students must also complete a Florida State University graduate application.
The GPA requirement to apply to the master's degree is 3.25 in upper level course work (anything past 60 semester hours). Students applying to the doctoral degree must have a 3.5 GPA for graduate coursework.
Students may apply directly to the doctoral program with only the bachelor's degree. Those students doing this must have a 3.5 GPA in their upper level course work.

International Student Requirements:
International students must also take the TOEFL exam and score 250 on the computer based exam, 600 on the paper based exam or 100 on the ibTOEFL exam.
