Geophysical Fluid Dynamics is an interdisciplinary field of study whose primary goal is an improvement in our basic understanding of fluid flows which occur naturally, such as the general circulation of the atmosphere, oceanic circulation, mantle convection and the motions which drive the geodynamo. Graduate courses established by student's committee and designed tailored to student background and research objectives.
