Program Description:
The Master of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences: Advanced Athletic Training/Sports Medicine is designed to advance the conceptual and theoretical basis for athletic training principles and techniques through the experiential process. The program is seeking accreditation by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) as a "post-certification" graduate program. Applicants who are NATA Board of Certification (NATABOC) certified or eligible to sit for the NATABOC certifying examination will be considered for acceptance into the program. Special admission for applicants with other qualifications will be considered on an individual basis. The program consists of 36 credit hours of study with a required independent research project or "treatise.ö The athletic training faculty and staff at Florida International University are committed to providing you with advanced knowledge, practical skills, and clinical experience that will improve your marketability in the increasingly competitive field of athletic training.
