Program Description:

The Physics Department offers the Ph. D. degree in Physics with a research concentration in Astrophysics, General Relativity, Quantum Gravity, Condensed Matter Physics, Biophysics and Physics of Complex Systems. Candidates must complete a significant program of original research, directed independent study and participation in advanced seminars in their area of specialization.
We offer a free and expedient pre-application process: no fee is required until the applicant has been accepted and decided to accept our offer. All our graduate students have Teaching or Research Assistantships that amount to up to $20,000 per year plus tuition wavers. More information can be found at www.physics.fau.edu.
