Program Description:
The Certificate in Leadership in Outdoor-based Adventure Education is a 15 credit graduate program comprised of 5 courses. The curriculum consists of a multi-disciplinary program designed for working professionals (ex. educators, youth workers, camp counselors, therapists, social workers, recreation directors, and others) who are interested in complementing their existing practices with an experiential-based approach to learning. Using the outdoors and the natural world as a resource, students develop familiarity and comptencies in a variety of activities and skills associated with the field of Adventure Education.
