Program Description:

The purpose of the Multicultural Education Specialist program is for candidates to develop skills, attitudes and methods that affirm and value people from different backgrounds. The end result of this certificate program is not necessarily to teach about other groups or countries. Rather, by using practice and reflection those enrolled in this certificate program will increase their knowledge base and skill level with respect to multicultural education, curriculum development and implementation skills for the classroom and community.
