Program Description:
The goal of the program is to provide graduate education that imparts a coherent body of managerial and technological knowledge centering on e-commerce. Graduates will acquire the educational background necessary to become performing e-commerce professionals, as well as obtain a solid foundation for lifelong learning necessary in a field that is certain to evolve very rapidly.
The total number of credits to be taken will be 48. Of these,
18 are required courses,
15 are elective courses and
15 are prerequisites (some of which may be waived).
There are two sets of elective courses. The first set of electives covers the areas of management, communication and information systems. The second elective set covers the technological aspects of computing systems. Students will take at least one elective course from each set. Students who elect for a concentration in e-commerce (EC) systems development will be required to take the course
CSCI6810 Java and the Internet (as a prerequisite to the course)
CSCI7795 Building Electronic Commerce Systems (and will take more courses from Elective Set 2. Students who choose a concentration in EC development will take more courses from Elective Set 1.)

Eligibility Requirements:
Submission of an official score report for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test taken within the last five years. The GRE may be waived if the applicant enrolls initially as a non-matriculating student and completes 9 graduate credits in computer science with a minimum grade point ratio (GPR) of 3.00 and no grade below C or is a Fairleigh Dickinson University computer science graduate and has an undergraduate GPR of 3.00 or is a non-Fairleigh Dickinson University computer science graduate and has an undergraduate GPR of 3.50. The GRE requirement is waived for applicants who have completed a master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in United States. Three letters of recommendation.
