MA - English and Comparative Literature
Program Description:
The English Language and Literature program includes a wide variety of graduate courses in English, American and Comparative Literature. Close student-faculty involvement, supervised projects in the Honors Program, and attractive location near New York City theaters and cultural events are advantages of the department.
Admission Requirements:
Students must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with at least 24 credits in English.
Students are advised to develop a reading proficiency in one or more foreign language.
Submission must be made of an official score report for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test taken within the last five years. (The GRE requirement is waived for applicants who have completed a master's degree.)
Three letters of recommendation must be provided.
Applicants who have not completed all requirements for admission to the degree program may be permitted to enroll in classes for credit on a nonmatriculated or nondegree basis.
