Program Description:
Erikson offers the Master of Science in early childhood education for two distinct groups of students: 1. Students who are seeking initial early childhood (type 04) certification 2. Currently certified teachers who wish to carry their teaching to the next level. Both programs provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary understanding of child development in addition to specialized courses in early childhood education. For teachers and teacher candidates who are interested in working with English language learners, both programs offer the option of specializing in and seeking state approval in early childhood Bilingual and/or English as a Second Language education.

International Student Requirements:
Proof of English language proficiency is required. Applicants must receive a minimum score of 80 on the internet-based TOEFL OR a minimum overall band score of 6.5 on the IELTS exam as well as minimum score of 6.0 on the academic reading and academic writing sections of the IELTS.
