Program Information

Degree Offered

M.S./M.S.W.-Child Development & Clinical Social Work

Format: Campus

Program Description:

Prepare yourself to serve the complex needs of vulnerable children and families with this program offering joint master's degrees in child development and clinical social work from Erikson and Loyola University Chicago.

This program was the first in the country to combine intensive study of child development from birth through age eight with clinical social work. The dual degree program combines theoretical, clinical, and practical training in child development with knowledge of the structure and function of social service systems.

It is the ideal background if you’re interested in providing clinical services to children and families in infant or child mental health, school child welfare, child development, family support, pediatric/medical, or early intervention settings.
