Program Description:
The Department offers M.A., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mathematics and in Computer Science. Ph.D. students in Mathematics may specialize in many areas including algebra, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, combinatorics, complex analysis, deferential equations, diferential geometry, graph theory, numerical linear algebra, scientific computation, and topology.
Ph.D. students in Computer Science may specialize in data management and informatics, theoretical computer science, distributed and high-performance computing, and scientific computation. Ph.D. students in Mathematics may concurrently pursue the Computer Science M.S. degree. Ph.D. students in Computer Science may concurrently pursue the Mathematics M.S. degree.
