Program Description:

The master of science degree in Biology is designed to provide graduate training in biology for biology teachers, individuals preparing for advanced study leading to the earning of a doctorate, or for individuals who have chosen an industrial vocation. The curriculum of this degree program will enable a student to broaden his or her background in research. Two areas of specialty are available: General Biology and Environmental Studies. Although both options are open, more courses are offered in the latter, primarily due to the affiliations with the field stations offering summer coursework and research opportunities.
