Program Description:
The EVMS Master of Physician Assistant Program was the first Master's level PA Program in Virginia. The program prepares students both academically and professionally for patient care responsibilities and patient-centered services as a physician assistant (PA). This ARC-PA accredited professional program is divided into two phases and spans 27 consecutive months. Phase I represents the pre-clinical phase of the program and spans 15 months. Phase II of the program represents the supervised clinical education component and spans 12 months. Individuals with broad educational backgrounds, prior health care experience, and those who are under-represented in the health care professions are encouraged to apply for admission. The academic year begins each January with approximately 60 students per class.
