Program Description:

The program for the degree Master of Arts or Master of Science must include a minimum of thirty semester hours for a program including the thesis or thirty-two semester hours for a program without a thesis. Since a master's program is highly specialized, the candidate is expected to pursue work in a single discipline or in closely related fields.The option in Mathematics Education, a predominantly summer program, strengthens the professional preparation of junior and senior high school teachers. Special problems courses required by the option allow students to share their experiences and to revitalize their teaching methods.
