Program Description:
This advanced course provides students with an integrated and comprehensive programme in medical anthropology covering the following:
Historical background and current literature in medical anthropology
Methodological issues in health-related research
Theoretical contributions of medical anthropology
Current debates and controversies in medical anthropology
We place a strong emphasis on research training. As well as studying the principle theories, students learn research methods and develop key research techniques which they can apply to their own project and write up in a dissertation. In addition to providing knowledge of the subject, this programme is intended to lead in the acquisition of a wide range of interdisciplinary skills in research, planning, communication of complex material, and analytical skills.

Eligibility Requirements:
Minimum 3.2 GPA (equivalent to UK 2:1) in biological anthropology or related discipline and two satisfactory academic references.
