Program Description:
In today's increasingly complex world, business and organizational leaders must be innovative, adaptive, and global in both thought and action. In the rich, multidisciplinary field of human resource development, the focus is on improving learning and performance in individual, group, and organizational as well as community and society contexts through several domains of practice:
* Human capital strategy
* Workplace learning and performance
* Talent management
* Knowledge management

* Organization development
* Change management
* Business transformation
The M.S. in Human Resource Development is uniquely positioned at the intersection of business and education. Participants gain access to Drexel's distinctive blend of theory, practice, and problem-based action learning. Students are exposed to the best of today's thought leadership and take away the tools and frameworks needed to drive learning, performance, and change in their own organizations.
Three concentrations are offered, guided by the increasing demand in these areas for strategic HRD leadership:
* HRD in Business Settings
* HRD in Educational Settings
* HRD in Global Settings
The program is taught in an "executive" in-class/online format, with classroom sessions held one Friday/Saturday three times per quarter. Students enroll in the MSHRD as a cohort in Sacramento, Philadelphia, or at a corporate location, taking courses together (nine core and four concentration courses) allowing interaction and networking among peers and local leaders.
