Program Description:
The MS in Accounting (MS) program is a 45 credit hour, one-year curriculum, which offers students the opportunity to obtain the technical knowledge, analytical skills, and communication skills required to serve as ethical and effective accounting professionals. Upon completion of the program, students will be qualified to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination. The MS program enrolls in the fall (September) and summer (June) quarters.
The MS program is for students with an undergraduate degree in accounting and is designed to be completed in one calendar year of full-time study.
AACSB Accredited degree in Accounting - Students entering the program with an undergraduate accounting degree from another AACSB accredited university should be able to complete the program in one calendar year of study.
Non-US degree in Accounting - While students with undergraduate degrees in accounting from non-U.S. schools may be eligible for admission to the MS program, completion of the program will not necessarily make them eligible to sit for the CPA examination. These students will be responsible for assessing whether their academic backgrounds will make them eligible to sit for the CPA examination. Educational credentials earned outside the United States must be evaluated by one of the following professional credentials evaluation organizations:

Plus five Business Elective Courses - Students take any five business courses from within the LeBow College of Business

International Student Requirements:
Students whose native language is not English and who do not hold a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution are required to take and submit a score from ToEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Students who earned a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. institution or have worked full-time in an English-speaking country for more than two years may have this requirement waived.
