Program Description:
The conceptual identity of the program is that of a Ph.D. program in clinical psychology with an emphasis in the emerging substantive area of clinical neuropsychology. Other strengths include training in the teaching of psychology and emerging issues in gerontology. The psychology program was designed to provide training in traditional clinical psychology. This includes training in intervention and assessment, as well as introducing the psychology student to the science and practice of clinical psychology. The program is grounded in the scientist/practitioner model, one that equally emphasizes clinical research as well as the application of scientific principles.
