Program Description:

This program is ideal for support staff in the financial services industry. As the industry evolves and becomes more complex it is essential that support staff have a basic knowledge of all aspects of the financial services industry. This program would provide those individuals seeking to change careers and enter financial planning with a basic knowledge of the wide range of topics covered by the CFP« Certification exam. Upon successful completion of this course and the computer based examination, the student would be eligible for the Registered Paraplanner Designation administered by the College for Financial Planning. This program provides a broad overview of the financial planning process. It will acquaint students with the basic concepts and terminology of the field. The program touches on all areas of the financial planning process, including the economic environment, personal financial statements, time value of money, education funding, insurance and risk management, social security benefits, investment concepts, securities, mutual funds, tax planning, retirement planning and estate planning.
