PhD

Format: Campus

Program Description:

The PhD program in Molecular and Integrative Physiology offers a comprehensive program of study and research opportunities emphasizing training in molecular/genomic aspects of cell, organ and whole animal physiology, with an emphasis on physiological genomics. The program of study provides an outstanding foundation in physiological mechanisms at the cellular, tissue, organ and whole animal level, and how these mechanisms interface with molecular and genetic aspects.

Students have the opportunity to concentrate in the following areas: reproductive physiology and genomics; cardiovascular physiological genomics; endocrinology; environmental and comparative physiology; gastrointestinal and metabolic physiological genomics; membrane and epithelial physiology; neural and sensory physiological genomics.

Funding: The Molecular and Physiology (MIP) Graduate Program only admits students who will be funded for the duration of their program (contingent upon satisfactory performance). An application to the MIP graduate program is considered an application for funding.
