Program Description:
The purpose of the FNP Program is to prepare nurses to provide advanced Primary Health Care to underserved populations in an urban setting. Our program of study integrates cultural norms, values, and health practices of underserved and vulnerable populations. Our well-integrated curriculum is the basis for our students emerging as highly qualified Family Nurse Practitioners.Our graduates provide excellent primary health care that is culturally sensitive. Graduates of our program are prepared to practice as nurse practitioners in a variety of settings. Our graduates are eligible to apply for national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
