Program Description:
Today's reading teachers need to have the advanced knowledge, skills and strategies that are readily applicable to the classroom. This Master's in Classroom Instruction with Reading includes the opportunity for licensed teachers to earn a K-12 Reading endorsement through the Minnesota Department of Education following the completion of required field experiences integrated into coursework and passing the required Praxis II examination. This coursework constitutes five of the 10 courses in the program. Successful completers are prepared to be more effective classroom teachers, stronger assessors of student abilities, better implementers of interventions, and mentors of other professionals.
