Program Information

Degree Offered

Master of Public Administration Master of International Affairs

Program Description:

Columbia University's SIPA offers students pursing an MIA or MPA degree the opportunity to study in Mexico City at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE) for either a semester or a full year. Students will be expected to complete the core curriculum at SIPA during their first year and then pursue an area of specialization at CIDE in their second year, such as Public Management or Public Finance to name just a few. Most courses are conducted in Spanish, so a language proficiency is a prerequisite.

By choosing to study at CIDE, located in Mexico City, students will have the opportunity to supplement their time in New York with courses at one of Mexico's most important centers of teaching and research in the social sciences. This program is an excellent option for those with regional or career interests in Central or South America.
