Program Description:
In this M.S. degree, students learn the science of collection, organization, analysis, and explanation of data with the opportunity to specialize in a subject relevant to their interests and needs. Course work includes advanced statistical theory, probability, methods, and data analysis, including linear and generalized linear models, time series, stochastic processes, sampling, design, biostatistics, spatial and environmental statistics, Bayesian methods, computing, and other topics. Students may select Plan A, which requires a formal thesis, or Plan B, which requires a project or a series of comprehensive exams. This online and DVD/VCD-based program provides continuing education opportunities to off-campus graduate students in a flexible, convenient format.

Eligibility Requirements:
If you have not completed STAT 520 or comparable course, your application will be evaluated based on overall GPA, plus grades attained in Calculus I, II, and III, Advanced Calculus, and Linear Algebra. GRE Test Scores are may be waived if applying through Track II Admission.
