Program Description:

Rangeland management is a unique discipline that blends science and management for the purpose of sustaining this valuable land. The primary goal is to protect and enhance a sustainable ecosystem that provides forage for wildlife and livestock, clean water, and recreation on public and private land. This interdisciplinary, conservation-oriented M.S. degree provides students a working knowledge base and techniques related to the structure, function, and management of rangeland ecosystems, including assessment, planning, monitoring, rehabilitation, and maintenance. Students may select Plan A, which requires applied research and a formal thesis, or Plan B, which requires a professional paper.
