Program Description:

Graduate study in mechanical engineering at CSU is intended to bring together faculty members and graduate students into a community of scholars having a common interest in advanced professional study and creative work. The program seeks to cultivate the spirit of intellectual independence and provide the opportunity for extending the boundaries of the engineering profession. The areas of emphasis are in Bioengineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanics, Materials, Space Propulsion, Engineering Management, Environmental Engineering, Design and Computer-Assisted Engineering, Energy and Thermal Sciences, and Manufacturing and Robotics.
