Program Description:

CSM offers unique educational programs that offer opportunities to combine science and engineering and provide fundamental principles and practical methods and techniques. Each student in the department develops a program of study that suits his/her educational objectives. Each discipline area is supported by a core of experienced faculty and basic geoscience courses such as petrology, structure, stratigraphy, tectonics, and remote sensing. Personnel and resources of the U.S. Geological Survey in Denver are readily available, and cooperative research programs are common. Many students hold part- or full-time jobs while in school and graduate with hands-on experience.
