Program Description:
This program is designed to assist persons with undergraduate degrees in technology-related fields to obtain initial certification as teachers of technology education. Persons entering the program are usually seeking a career change, and they typically have backgrounds in engineering, communication and information technology, construction technology, electronics, manufacturing, or automotive technology.
The Applied Technology Education program is designed for students who do not hold initial certification. It requires a minimum of 37 credits of study, and includes a 6-credit student teaching requirement that may be completed over one or two semesters.
