M.A.-Nonprofit Management
Format: Campus
Program Description:
For those working in the nonprofit sector, the shift to a managerial role brings real challenges, as well as opportunities. Many discover that the skills they need to move an organization forward are very different from the ones they used in hands-on service. This degree offers middle and upper level managers the opportunity to develop the unique skill sets necessary to serve as leaders in today's nonprofit sector. Students explore the diverse challenges of the field with other practitioners, gaining the hands-on experience and the critical insight needed to move an organization's mission forward.
Areas of study include: Environment of the Nonprofit Sector, Managing and Leading, Program Development and Evaluation, Strategic Positioning in the Nonprofit Sector, and Resource Management. Each student will develop an original project as a capstone to the program.
