Program Description:

The successful completion of the Special Education Master of Arts in Teaching program leads to South Carolina special education certification. This program, accredited by both the Council for Exceptional Children and the South Carolina Department of Education, qualifies you to teach students ranging from 3 to 21 years of age who have emotional, learning, or mental disabilities. Preparation in this program can be a gateway to working in other areas, such as occupational therapy, speech language pathology and school psychology.
