Program Description:

The Gifted and Talented Education Graduate Certificate program provides specialized coursework designed to add a Gifted and Talented "plus-18" credential to an educator license. In-depth graduate coursework focuses on the development and accommodation of the Gifted and Talented learner, as well as additional coursework in the teacher's current certification area.
Teachers who hold certification in other areas are eligible for admission to the program, and the program of study is determined by your certification area. For example, a teacher certified in secondary English would complete a nine-hour core of Gifted and Talented Education courses and nine hours of graduate coursework in English to complete the requirements for the certificated in Gifted and Talented Education.
