Program Description:
The purpose of the M.Ed. Program in Teaching and Learning is to provide advanced education and experiences for certified teachers in the state of South Carolina, and beyond. The program is open to qualified individuals with teacher certification in local and regional communities. The objectives of the M.Ed. program in Teaching and Learning are to:
1. enhance the practice of certified teachers;
2. provide a source for the development of highly qualified teachers for South Carolina; and
3. provide a rigorous program of study grounded in current research.
The specialty content areas served by the Teaching and Learning program include Mathematics Education, Science Education, English Education, Social Studies Education, and Elementary Education.
