Program Information
Degree Offered
Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership
Format: Online
Program Description:
The Chicago School's Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership includes coursework in leadership, research, ethics, interpersonal dynamics, and a range of electives to support each student's unique career goals. The program equips graduates to apply the principles of psychology and leadership theory in a broad range of settings to effectively lead individuals and organizations to success. Graduates are prepared to select, implement, and manage appropriate leadership methodologies to meet individual, group, and organizational needs in for-profit, nonprofit and military settings.
Students take one or two online courses at a time and progress through the program in a "cohort" fashion (i.e., with the same group of fellow students in each of their classes for the duration of the program). Students also engage in two brief residencies (roughly three and a half days each) at our Chicago Campus, which provides an opportunity for face-to-face interaction and networking with fellow students from around the globe who bring a wealth of diverse leadership experiences and perspectives. A third residency is optional.
ABOUT THE CHICAGO SCHOOL
The Chicago School is a not-for-profit, accredited institution with more than 3,500 students at campuses across the country (Chicago, Los Angeles and Orange Counties, Calif., and Washington, D.C.) and online. As the nation's oldest and largest graduate school devoted exclusively to psychology and related behavioral science, TCSPP offers more than 20 degree programs and a wealth of opportunities for international experiences.
Our focus is not strictly on research or traditional clinical practice, but on preparing students to be extraordinary practitioners, equipped to make a lasting impact on individual lives, in business settings, in diverse and underserved communities, and around the globe.
THE ONLINE-BLENDED EXPERIENCE
The Chicago School's online-blended programs enable students with full-time work or family commitments to get a renowned education and seize their personal and professional goals--without putting their current lives on hold.
A number of our programs are taught predominantly online with a small “synchronous virtual residency” component (a one or two-hour session each term in which all students are expected to be online simultaneously), while other programs are offered in a "blended" format that combines both online and on-campus learning.
Building on our long tradition of producing outstanding psychology practitioners, our online-blended programs combine the quality of a Chicago School education with the convenience that you need today.
