Program Description:

The purpose of the program offered by the history department is to develop graduates possessing a range of historical knowledge and special comptetency in a particular area. Students receive systematic training in historical methods, sources, tools and the interpretation of history. It is a further purpose of the program to train students for lives of productive scholarship and stimulating teaching as well as non-academic pursuits where historical background is required.
