Program Description:
The goal of the educational programs in civil engineering is to produce graduates who are schooled in fundamentals and capable of doing advanced engineering work. To this end, programs are offered in the Department of Civil Engineering which are professional in nature and lead to the Master of Civil Engineering (M.C.E.), the Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E.), the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), and the Doctor of Engineering (D.Engr.). Major areas are fluid and solid mechanics, composite materials and construction, environmental engineering and management, systems engineering, and construction management. The available courses include laboratory studies, applied mathematics, engineering analysis, engineering design, and a variety of introductory and advanced level courses in various areas of applied science and construction management.
