For more than 150 years, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio has earned an international reputation for excellence. Known for providing the finest medical education in America and as a world-class research institution, the school from the beginning has been on the forefront of medical education and research. The CWRU School of Medicine is the fourth largest in the United States with about 3,000 full- and part-time faculty. A survey in 1991 indicated that it was third only to Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania in providing faculty to medical schools around the country.
