M.A. - Canadian Studies
Format: Campus
Program Description:
In Canadian Studies students in both the graduate and undergraduate programs benefit from the exciting and original work on Canada carried out by faculty across the university. Furthermore, Carleton's location in the nation's capital provides students with a magnificent opportunity to study the riches of our national cultures. Students find many opportunities to increase their fluency in French in Ottawa's bilingual milieu and it is also possible to study an Aboriginal language. The University's proximity to institutions such as the National Library, the Public Archives of Canada, the National Film Board, museums and galleries offers research opportunities unmatched elsewhere in Canada. Ottawa is also headquarters for national groups representing a wide range of members and interests. Carleton's program in Canadian Studies draws fully on these resources and works to provide a truly national perspective on Canadian affairs.
