Program Description:

The Education Technologies and Emerging Media programs are innovative and fully online. The master's degree program is designed to prepare classroom teachers for New York State (NYS) certification as an Educational Technology Specialist (grades K-12). A degree option is also available for students not interested in NYS certification.

Teaching professionals who can use education technologies to produce more meaningful and diverse learning experiences are in high demand. The program is designed to serve those with an interest in using technology in a purposeful way to enrich and enhance learning and motivate their students.

Canisius offers four graduate degree and certificate options for students interested in pursuing their studies in Education Technologies: a master's degree leading to to NYS certification as an Educational Technology Specialist, a master's degree for candidates not seeking certification, a certificate in Education Technologies and Emerging Media, and a certificate in Online Teaching and Training.
