Program Description:
CSU Northridge offers a Master of Arts in Humanities designed especially for educators, nonprofit directors, lawyers, executives, arts organization board members, and other “big thinkers” who seek to enhance their knowledge in the field of humanities. This program will challenge students to consider new ways of thinking and give them a fresh perspective of the world. Working professionals and individuals engaged in their community will be equipped for potential leadership roles in a variety of contexts upon graduation.

Highlights of the Master of Arts in Humanities
• May be completed in less than two years with classes meeting one evening per week and the occasional Saturday
• 33-credit program draws from many disciplines represented in CSUN’s Colleges of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences
• Students explore the origins of prominent ideas, dissect the works of influential authors, and gain insights to be shared with colleagues and friends
•Cohort model ensures on-time graduation as well as the formation of long-term networking relationships between students and faculty
•Possible career paths for graduates include teaching positions at community colleges and four-year institutions, museum curator, theater director, and nonprofit executive positions, among others
