Degree Offered
M.A. in Global Logistics
Format: Campus
Program Description:
As trade and transportation becomes more quantitatively focused, individuals possessing a strong background in both the concepts and tools of transportation, logistics, and supply chain analysis will provide value to their workplace. These skills are critical to the economy and in particular the Southern California economy.
The Accelerated Master of Arts in Global Logistics at CSULB prepares students to deal with the complexities of multimodal transportation, supplier relations, supplier selection, purchasing negotiations, operations, inventory, warehousing, 3PL vendors, electronic commerce, and customer relations. The multi-disciplinary curriculum draws upon courses from Business, Economics, and Engineering. The program applies analytical tools to solving logistical challenges in a global framework and provides work-research experience through a summer practicum with local firms.
This 33-unit program is designed for those interested in graduate studies in supply chain management and logistics, but who lack work experience in the field. The program takes an interdisciplinary approach to global logistics, providing a focused curriculum that gives students the tools needed to advance in the industry. Students have the opportunity to network in a team learning environment.
