Program Description:

The primary mission of the CSULB Graduate Program in Archaeological Science is twofold: to provide an understanding of the big picture of the human past to all CSULB students and to prepare graduate students for further study by offering them rigorous training in archaeological theory, methods, and cutting-edge analytic techniques. The more advanced aspects of the program are engineered to challenge students in areas of explanatory theory, materials analysis, fieldwork, quantitative methods and writing, thereby enabling them to become highly competitive professional archaeologists.
