Program Description:

The Master of Arts degree program in History at California State University, Fresno offers graduate students seminars on a wide range of historical periods and approaches. The program also provides the conscientious student with the requisite research skills to ensure success in future academic or related pursuits. The History Department at CSUF is especially strong in the areas of Ancient History, Modern European History, United States History (especially the colonial period), Latin American History, Military History, and Historiography. An energetic community of graduate students has developed at CSUF, and graduates of our program have become successful teachers at the high school and community college level, and some have moved on to pursue their career at the doctoral level.
