Program Description:

The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program is for individuals who are interested in advancing their knowledge of clinical issues in psychology and developing the practical application of this knowledge with an application toward cognitive psychology, human services, mental health therapy, and substance abuse counseling. The Doctor of Psychology is a professional doctorate providing comprehensive foundational courses as well as a variety of elective courses to emphasize the service orientation of a professional clinical degree. Tuition for the PsyD is $395 per credit and $26,070 for the entire degree program.

The Doctor of Psychology is CalSouthern’s most popular degree program—and for good reason: its curriculum is of the highest quality, continuously enhanced and updated to reflect current trends and developments in the field. In addition, the CalSouthern PsyD satisfies the educational requirements for licensure as a clinical psychologist in the state of California.

Academic Excellence
The PsyD curriculum is robust, clinically focused and extremely rigorous. CalSouthern has integrated the acclaimed and time-proven Taylor Study Method into the curriculum, which enhances students’ recall and effective application of the coursework, as well as prepares them for the EPPP examination from the day they begin their first course.
