Program Description:

In chemical engineering, pioneering research is being carried out in catalysis and the engineering aspects of chemical reactions; the flow of non-Newtonian fluids, suspensions, and polymers; the chemistry and physics of the urban atmosphere; the relationship between the molecular and macroscopic properties of polymers; the combustion of coal, and the effective removal of its combustion products; the manufacture of ceramics and electronic materials; biotechnology and biochemical engineering; and the design and computer control of chemical processes.
