Program Description:
Emphasizing preparation for the professional practice of clinical psychology, this doctoral program combines rigorous scholarship, supervised clinical experience in practicums and internships, and integration of self-development of trainees with growth in clinical skills. For field experience you can apply to approximately ninety-five community agencies and our clinics, serving a diverse mix of clients. The training program offers specific study in three primary areas of human difference: culture and ethnicity, religion and spirituality, and gender and sexuality.
Our training philosophy comprises four components:
• Learning in a multicultural context that integrates practicums and classroom work
• A relational model of learning and training
• Significant reflection on your clinical practice
• A broad range of scholarship, specifically a wider range of topics and methods for clinical dissertations
