Program Description:
The Master of Science in Education program is intended to enhance the skills of practicing educators in order to enable them to be more effective teachers and educational leaders in their community and in their profession. Applicants may choose from three majors including School Administration and Leadership, Guidance and Counseling, and Curriculum and Instruction. A minimum of thirty-six hours are required in the program. Licensure tracks in Administration and Leadership include the PK-6 and 7-12 levels while the tracks in Guidance and Counseling include the K-6 and 7-12 levels. Educators interested in Curriculum and Instruction will achieve licensure in Effective Teaching at the K-6 or 7-12 levels. The program can be completed within three years during which the student accumulates graduate credit through courseworkdelivered during summers and evenings.
