Program Description:

The mathematics department at Bryn Mawr offers university-quality research leading to M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in the supportive environment of liberal arts college. Students may concentrate in any of the broad divisions of mathematics represented among our faculty. These areas of specialization include Algebraic Number Theory and Algebra; Functional Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Fourier Analysis, Wavelet Analysis, and Operator Theory; Dynamical Systems and Ergodic Theory; Geometric and Low Dimensional Topology; Symplectic Topology and Contact Geometry.
